Often when we read news about the release of new charms, you can come across an icon — limited edition charm. Let’s try to figure it out, what does limited pandora charm mean? As we know, Pandora collections are released several times a year (you can read more about this here). Each collection is thematically tied to a particular season and has its own symbolism. Autumn — muted shades, ripe fruits and fallen leaves. Winter — snowflakes, blue tones and a lot of sparkling stones, so similar to ice floes. Spring — flowering, the awakening of nature, many flowers in delicate shades. Summer is a riot of colors, relaxation, the sea and a great mood. That is, everything that we associate with a certain time of the year. The charms of these collections are produced in an impressive edition and almost all Pandora chain stores receive them (with rare exceptions). Charms and bracelets are on sale not only for a certain season, but more, until the company decides to stop producing this type of product, in other words, they send the charm to “retirement”. But, there is a category of charms that is produced in a strictly defined circulation (for some reason), and in a very limited amount gets into stores., And some of them do not get into stores at all.

Initially, I would divide all such charms into two groups:

— out of production — released in a limited edition initially. I won’t write about charms that are out of production and therefore difficult to find, this is a topic for a separate article. This time we will only analyze original limited edition charms.

Now let’s discuss each category separately and in more detail.

royal charms

The Pandora brand comes from Denmark, where there is still a monarchy and the population loves and reveres the royal family. Apparently, therefore, it was decided to release charms associated with the loudest and most pleasant events for all Danes.

Royal Danish Church / Royal church — bicolor charm with a crown and engraving 14-5-2004. The charm is dedicated to the wedding of the Crown Prince of Denmark Frederik and Mary Donaldson. Circulation data vary, different sources give figures from 1,000 to 3,500 copies.

Royal true love / Royal true love – bicolor charm with enamel and engraving 24-5-2008. The charm was released in honor of the marriage of the second Danish prince Joachim to Marie Cavalier.

Later, charms dedicated to the most famous royal family in the world, the English royal family, “joined” this series.

Royal wedding / Royal wedding — a charm dedicated to the «marriage of the century» — the wedding of the English Prince William and Catherine Middleton, which took place in 2011. Heart shaped charm with blue faux spinel on one side and the first letters of the names on the other. The color of the stone was not chosen by chance — the prince proposed to Kate with the famous ring of his mother, Princess Diana.

Royal baby / Royal baby — Charm, released in honor of the birth of the heir to the English throne, Prince George. Came out in 2013. It could be bought for about $65. Officially sold in the UK, Canada and Australia.

Regional charms

These are charms released only for certain countries in which (mostly) they are sold. If you want one of these charms, you will have to look for friends all over the world)). Of the charms released quite a long time ago, I can name the following:

Blue primrose / blue primrose path — Charm released for Germany and limited edition. The same charm, but with white stones, can be found on sale today.

Christ — despite its name, this charm has nothing to do with religion. Released for Germany only.

Canadian maple leaf / Canadian maple leaf – the charm was released in 2009 for Canada. Its release was timed to coincide with the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Bag of happiness / Hong Bao and Chinese dragon / Dragon – were released in 2012 specifically for China and Asia to celebrate the New Year, although they were seen on sale in other countries.

Chinese lantern and Yuanbao (ingot) — were also released for China in honor of the new year 2014, and they could also be bought in some other countries.

Olympic medal / Olympic medal — a pendant released only for the UK in 2012 in honor of the Olympic Games, but did not stay on sale for long — Pandora received a complaint from the Olympic Committee for inconsistent use of the symbol of the Olympics or something similar. Therefore, the medal was quickly withdrawn from sale, but whoever managed to buy it was lucky.

I love to travel / I love to travel — of course, this is not exactly a regional charm, but due to its exceptional sales points, I put it in this category. You can only buy it on board the aircraft. The list of airlines that sell it is quite wide. Released in 2013.

Brazil / Brasil — a charm for Brazil in honor of the hosting of the World Cup in 2014. Was on sale directly in Brazil, in the USA and several other countries.

Australia / Australia — a charm that made a lot of noise. It was released in 2013, but immediately after the release it was withdrawn and a message appeared on the company’s Facebook that this was done due to its graphical inaccuracy. They promised to correct and release it soon, but so far it has not been released. Still, in a very small circulation, he managed to get on sale and whoever bought it is now overjoyed at such a rarity.

USA sports charms — This is a whole series of different charms dedicated to the sport so beloved by Americans — baseball. There are even wooden charms engraved with teams!

Baseball bat and helmet

Charm Vienna Opera / Vienna opera charm — released in honor of the 60th anniversary of the most famous ball in Europe. Pandora sponsored the event in 2016 and released a commemorative charm to celebrate the debutante ball. It went on sale only in Austria (in one store) and then only for 1 week (February 1-8). The cost in the store is 49 euros. Circulation — 3500 pcs.

Charity charms

Pandora is actively involved in various fundraising campaigns for charity. These include companies supporting a healthy lifestyle and sponsorship of organizations that develop drugs and much more. Pandora connoisseurs call this one the rarest (and perhaps the first charitable) charm. frog. It was released in 2003 in support of a children’s hospital in the Danish city of Randers. Selling charm only in one city!

Other charity charms released by the company

Actions in support of the fight against breast cancer in 2013, 2014, 2015 in various countries. Since this problem is now affecting an increasing number of women around the world, Pandora is also doing its bit in the fight against this disease. Charms and a pink leather bracelet came out under this action.

Charm club Pandora / Club charm

Issued annually since 2014. At first, this charm was announced as something exclusive, available only to true fans of the brand (to buy this charm, you had to register online and get a special voucher), but then this idea was abandoned and these charms are freely sold in stores, though for a limited time. A special feature of these charms is the engraved year of issue. Each of them is encrusted with a diamond. Sold in a special box.

Charm Black Friday / Black friday charm

Charm, which is released on the day of the start of big sales in the US, the so-called black Friday. The first Black Friday charm was released in 2011 and since then its release has become a kind of tradition. Since 2013, these charms have had a single theme — Christmas and New Year. Look — this is a snowflake, a Christmas toy and a snow globe.

Cruise charms / Cruise charm

Charms that can be purchased by going on an unforgettable cruise in the waters of the Caribbean. The trip lasts approximately 7 days, during which you will visit interesting places and all the main attractions of the region, as well as receive a discount on the purchase of jewelry. There are many seminars and various events for fans of the brand, private events and parties on board. All guests receive memorable gifts from Pandora. Cruises have been running for several years (since 2012 if I’m not mistaken), around the month of April. Ticket price in the range of 1050 — 3100 $ per person. A pleasant memory of a good time will be the so-called charm of the cruise.

Charm for employees

Staff charm — although the exact name of this charm does not have. It is also called pandora pride / pandora pride or pandora life / pandora life. This charm has never been sold, it was given away for free to company employees in 2011. He is a mythical creature with the body of a lion, the head of a giraffe, and the wings of a bumblebee. These three animals symbolize certain qualities for Pandora: the lion — pride, the giraffe — passion, excitement and the bumblebee — hard work.

Exclusive charms

In this category, I put charms that have become almost a legend among Pandora collectors.

perfume bottle / pandpra perfume bottle — PAN engraved charm on the bottle. This charm is a legend, and even the employees of Pandora themselves disagree about its existence. According to legend, the first charms came with PAN engraving, and then it was changed to the letter O. There is a photo, but it is not known exactly how real it is.

But such a bottle of perfume from Pandora definitely exists.

Holy Grail / Holy Grail — a very rare charm, it was quickly discontinued due to the characteristics of blue pearls — it quickly loses its color. One of the most sought after charms for true Pandora collectors.
